Archery for Everyone
Archery is for Everyone
One of the best things about archery is that anyone can do it. People can begin shooting at almost any age, and equipment can be adapted to suit a wide range of physical abilities. Archery is also a sport where people with different abilities can shoot alongside each other in the same environment.
It’s a sport that rewards focus and technique rather than strength or speed, making it truly inclusive across age, gender, and ability.
Accessible for All
Archery is also a highly adaptable sport. People with physical disabilities, mobility challenges, or vision impairments can all take part, thanks to the inclusive programs and facilities supported by Archery Victoria and its clubs. Para-archery is governed under the same rules as Target Archery, meaning all archers compete under a unified, fair system.

A Sport for Life
Because archery focuses on technique and concentration rather than physical power, it’s something you can start at almost any age and continue for decades. Some people shoot purely for relaxation and mindfulness, while others thrive on competition, there’s a place for everyone.
