About Archery Victoria

From beginners picking up a bow for the first time to athletes competing at national and international level, Archery Victoria plays a role in every stage of the journey

We work alongside Archery Australia and affiliated clubs to deliver competitions, develop pathways for archers, and ensure the sport is safe, inclusive, and accessible to all.

What We Do

At its core, Archery Victoria exists to support and grow archery.

We oversee the delivery of competitions and events across Victoria, provide structure for athlete development through recognised pathways, and support clubs with the tools and guidance they need to operate effectively.

We also play an important role in maintaining standards, from safety and governance through to coaching and officiating, ensuring consistency across the sport.

Supporting Clubs & Members

Clubs are the heart of archery in Victoria, and much of what we do is focused on supporting them.

This includes providing resources, guidance, and frameworks to help clubs run smoothly, as well as creating opportunities for members to develop, whether that’s through competition, coaching, or volunteering.
Our goal is to make sure every club and every member has access to a strong, well-supported archery community.

Pathways & Participation

Archery Victoria supports participation at every level.

For some, that means getting started through a beginner course or shooting socially at a club. For others, it means progressing through structured competition pathways, with opportunities to represent Victoria and beyond. We work to ensure those pathways are clear, accessible, and supported at every stage.

A Volunteer-Driven Organisation

Like many sporting organisations, Archery Victoria is largely volunteer-driven.

Our board, committees, and many of the people who support events and programs give their time to help the sport thrive. That community-driven approach is a big part of what makes archery what it is.

Governance & Transparency

Archery Victoria operates as an incorporated association, with a board responsible for governance, strategy, and oversight.

We are committed to transparency and accountability in how we operate, with clear structures in place to support good decision-making and the long-term sustainability of the organisation.
