Volunteering

Be part of Archery Victoria

Archery doesn’t run on arrows alone, it runs on people. From local clubs to state events, volunteers are what keep the sport moving. Whether you’ve been shooting for years or you’re just getting started, there’s always a place for you to get involved and contribute.

Volunteering with Archery Victoria

If you’re looking to get involved beyond your local club, there are opportunities to support archery at a state level.

That might mean helping deliver competitions, supporting development programs, or contributing behind the scenes with administration and projects. It’s a great way to use your skills, meet more people across the sport, and play a part in shaping archery in Victoria.

Volunteering with Your Club

For most people, volunteering starts at club level — and that’s where it matters most.

Clubs rely on their members to keep things running week to week. That might be through helping on the committee, assisting with beginner sessions, supporting competitions, or simply pitching in when needed. Every club is a little different, but the common thread is the same: without volunteers, clubs don’t function.

Whether you’re interested in something structured like coaching or judging, or you just want to lend a hand when you can, there’s always a place for you.

Why Volunteer

Volunteering isn’t just about helping out, it’s about being part of something.

It’s how you meet people, build skills, and feel more connected to your club and the wider archery community. For many, it becomes just as rewarding as shooting itself.

Getting Started

The easiest way to get involved is to have a conversation.

Speak with your local club about how you can help, or reach out to Archery Victoria if you’re interested in getting involved at a broader level. There’s no single path into volunteering, just a willingness to be part of it.
